Physical Hostel Security
- Verify high-perimeter fencing and locked entrance gates before booking.
- Ensure burglar-proof bars are fitted on all accessible ground/first-floor windows.
- Avoid hostels located on poorly lit, unpaved bush paths without night security patrols.
Roommate & Guest Safety

- Establish agreed visitor curfews and lockup routines with co-tenants.
- Never duplicate or share master room keys with unregistered acquaintances.
Fraud & Scam Prevention
- Never wire funds to personal bank accounts claimed by “caretakers” or middlemen.
